Job description
The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong expertise in financial reporting, financial statement preparation, audit coordination, and month-end/year-end closing activities. The role requires excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity, and international business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Lead and manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Prepare management reports, financial analyses, and performance dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Review audit reports and ensure implementation of audit recommendations where applicable.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Ensure compliance with Middle East regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and company financial policies.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost optimization and financial efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and internal controls.
- Support finance transformation initiatives, process automation, and continuous improvement projects.
- Assist senior management with financial planning, business analysis, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- CPA, CFA, or CMA qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum3–5 years of UAE experience in finance and accounting.
- Strong background in financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
- Good knowledge of audit reports, statutory compliance, and audit coordination.
- Hands-on experience in managing month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
