Role Overview
As an HSE Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all staff and stakeholders. As part of our team, you'll work in an ONSITE environment, actively contributing to the implementation and enforcement of Health, Safety, and Environmental standards for our complex operational setup. You will serve as a subject matter expert in hazard identification, risk assessment, and the development of robust risk management strategies, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures within the facility.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify potential hazards relating to physical, chemical, ergonomic, biological, and environmental factors.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness, including response drills and incidents investigation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the implementation of comprehensive risk management strategies across complex operations.
  • Regularly inspect facilities, equipment, and work practices for potential safety risks and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Deliver HSE training sessions and provide guidance to staff regarding best practices and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of all HSE activities and compliance documentation.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure adherence to all local and international HSE standards.
Must have requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in health and safety practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and overseeing comprehensive risk management strategies for complex operations.
  • Strong ability in risk assessment and hazard identification across diverse workplace scenarios.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Nice to have requirements
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE qualifications.
  • Experience working within facilities management or industrial operations environments.
  • Familiarity with digital safety management systems.
  • Ability to deliver engaging safety training programs.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic languages.
