Role Overview
As our Senior Accountant, you will be an integral member of the Finance team, operating from our Head Office in Dubai. This pivotal role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical expertise, adept at delivering accurate financial information, overseeing accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
- Oversee all general ledger functions, month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, including timely submission of returns.
- Coordinate with auditors, external consultants, and internal stakeholders for audits and other financial matters.
- Assist in developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls across multiple entities.
- Optimize accounting processes and contribute to ERP system enhancements, especially within Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Must have requirements
- 3–4 years of relevant UAE experience as a Senior Accountant.
- Proven experience in leading or supervising junior accountants.
- Comprehensive knowledge of General Ledger, closing procedures, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and financial reporting.
- Thorough understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or CA.
- Experience working with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
- Experience managing accounting for multiple entities
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA.
- Background in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prior experience in a similar industry or with rapid-growth organizations.
