Role Overview
As our Senior Accountant, you will be an integral member of the Finance team, operating from our Head Office in Dubai. This pivotal role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical expertise, adept at delivering accurate financial information, overseeing accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.
 
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and guide the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
  • Oversee all general ledger functions, month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, including timely submission of returns.
  • Coordinate with auditors, external consultants, and internal stakeholders for audits and other financial matters.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls across multiple entities.
  • Optimize accounting processes and contribute to ERP system enhancements, especially within Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Must have requirements
  • 3–4 years of relevant UAE experience as a Senior Accountant.
  • Proven experience in leading or supervising junior accountants.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of General Ledger, closing procedures, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and financial reporting.
  • Thorough understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or CA.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365).
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Experience managing accounting for multiple entities
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA.
  • Background in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Prior experience in a similar industry or with rapid-growth organizations.
