The Technical Recruiter must have a strong engineering background and hands-on experience across the full data center lifecycle — from design, construction, commissioning, and operations through to decommissioning. This individual will be embedded within our HR team, serving as the critical technical gatekeeper in our recruitment process.
The Technical Recruiter will lead all initial technical interviews, leveraging deep industry knowledge to evaluate candidates' technical competencies from the moment a CV is reviewed. With a large and growing candidate pool, this role is essential in accurately matching qualified professionals to the right open positions across our data center operations, engineering, and technical departments.
This is a unique role that bridges HR recruitment expertise with data center engineering knowledge, ensuring we hire the right talent faster, reduce mis-hires, and maintain a competitive edge in a rapidly expanding industry.

Technical Interviews:
  • Conduct all initial technical interviews for data center engineering, operations, maintenance, and facility management roles
  • Perform rapid CV assessments using engineering expertise to evaluate candidates’ technical depth, hands-on experience, and suitability for specific open positions
  • Develop and maintain standardized technical screening frameworks, scorecards, and competency matrices for each role category
  • Assess candidates’ knowledge of critical systems (power, cooling, fire, BMS) and their ability to operate in mission-critical environments
Candidate Pipeline Management:
  • Review and categorize the existing large candidate pool, mapping each candidate to the most suitable open role based on technical fit, experience level, and specialization
  • Maintain an organized, up-to-date candidate database with clear status tracking and technical assessment notes
  • Proactively build and nurture a pipeline of qualified data center professionals for current and future hiring needs
  • Provide weekly pipeline reports and recruitment metrics to HR leadership and hiring managers
Collaboration & Advisory:
  • Partner closely with the HR team to streamline the end-to-end recruitment process, reducing time-to-hire and improving candidate quality
  • Act as a technical advisor to HR on role requirements, market salary benchmarks, and candidate availability within the DC industry
  • Collaborate with hiring managers (Operations Director, FM Managers, Engineering leads) to refine job descriptions and define ideal candidate profiles
  • Provide technical input on offer negotiations, ensuring compensation aligns with candidate experience and market rates
Industry & Market Intelligence:
  • Stay current on data center industry trends, emerging technologies (AI/ML cooling, liquid cooling, modular DC), and talent market dynamics in the UAE, KSA, and broader GCC region
  • Map competitor organizations and identify target companies for talent sourcing
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to build the company’s employer brand within the data center community

COMPETITIVE PACKAGE & BENEFITS

● Competitive salary commensurate with experience and market benchmarks
● Annual performance-based bonus
● Professional development budget — industry certifications, training, and conference attendance
● Career growth within a rapidly scaling data center company with operations across GCC & Central Asia.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline) — Required
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, HR Management, or Business Administration — Preferred

Experience:
  • Minimum 5+ years of combined experience in data center operations, engineering, or technical project delivery
  • Minimum 2+ years in a technical recruitment, talent acquisition, or technical assessment role within the data center industry
  • Demonstrated experience across the full data center lifecycle: design, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning

Certifications:
  • Uptime Institute certifications (ATD, AOS, ATD/ATS) — Preferred
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent HR/recruitment certification — Preferred
  • Data Center Tier Standards knowledge — Required
